So almost all our jaws dropped when it was announced that S/S 2012 was thelast collection for designers
Domenico Dolce’s and Stefano Gabbana’ diffusion line; D&G . But after seeing the similarity of Dolce and Gabbana’s
RTW collection, it made sense for the two lines to be merged.

D&G S/S 2012 RTW delivered colourful, fierce but feminine. Dolce and Gabbana added an extra element:

The show started with a series of bustier dresses printed with the ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine
: tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, displayed on dresses, shorts, culottes, and full-circle skirts or snug little
dresses. A cheerful and energetic femininity invades the catwalk with colours and seduction. Next is a young
lady that wears a suit, overcoat, dress, and shorts in pastel colours with buttons decorated in crystals. Of course
, there is lace, this time black, rich in appliqués and decor and embroidered or trimmed in nappa leather. Then, an interval
of transparent orange pvc worn over lingerie. The show ends with a series of pieces in tulle and chiffon embroidered in
crystal coloured like lights. Standing ovation, then for the closure with bustiers embroidered in gems, sequins, and crystals
